The PRIMA WaterMellon Project has gained national visibility in Lebanon through an interview broadcast on VDL24 Radio & YouTube Channel as part of the well-known programme “Ardak Dahab” (“Your Land is Gold”).
During the programme, titled “In Lebanon: Experiments with Drought-Resilient Crops – What Are These Crops?”, Eng. Hussein Hoteit, Head of the Rural Development Department in Lebanon, introduced the objectives of the WaterMellon Project and highlighted its contribution to promoting more resilient agricultural systems across the Mediterranean.
The interview focused on the importance of drought-resilient crops and sustainable farming practices as effective solutions to address the growing challenges of climate change and water scarcity. Eng. Hoteit explained how WaterMellon is supporting the development and adoption of innovative cropping systems that improve agricultural resilience while making more efficient use of water resources.
