SKIKDA participates in key agricultural events in Algeria under the WaterMellon PRIMA project

Within the framework of the PRIMA project WaterMellon, the SKIKDA team actively participated in two major agricultural events in Algeria, reinforcing the project’s visibility and fostering scientific exchange with national and international stakeholders.

Participation in SIPSA-FILAHA 2026 – Algiers (19 May 2026)

The first day of participation took place at the International Exhibition of Agriculture, Livestock and Agro-Industry (@SIPSA-FILAHA), held in Algiers on 19 May 2026.

This event provided a valuable opportunity for the SKIKDA team, representing the Watermellon PRIMA project, to present ongoing activities and share the progress achieved within the project. It also allowed for fruitful exchanges with professionals, researchers, and stakeholders from the agricultural and agro-food sectors.

The team engaged in discussions on innovative approaches and explored new solutions aimed at improving sustainability and efficiency in agriculture.

Open House at the Technical Institute for Field Crops – Sétif (21 May 2026)

SKIKDA also took part in the Open House event of the Technical Institute for Field Crops in Sétif, held on Thursday 21 May.

As representatives of the WaterMellon PRIMA project, the team showcased their work and presented the different stages of project implementation. The event gathered distinguished participants from Algeria and abroad, creating a dynamic scientific environment and encouraging meaningful exchange of experiences.

The participation highlighted the project’s commitment to knowledge sharing and collaboration within the agricultural research community.

Strengthening collaboration and visibility

These two events reflect the continuous efforts of the WaterMellon PRIMA consortium to strengthen scientific cooperation, disseminate results, and engage with key stakeholders across the Mediterranean agricultural sector.

Through active participation in international exhibitions and scientific open days, SKIKDA contributes to increasing the impact and visibility of the WaterMellon project.
